Word to the wise, chemistry fans. If you see a post telling you how to make a glowstick, no matter what recipe, don’t bother.
At worst, some of those mixtures are very mean pranks that create noxious gas. At best, they’re an annoying waste of time and supplies. The stuff that makes a glowstick glow is not in Mountain Dew, or in bleach, or in peroxide (although peroxide is a real ingredient in real glowsticks, mixing it with any of the above won’t make it glow)
For real you can get a buttload of them super cheap on Amazon anyway. They’re safe and will actually work. If you want a glowstick then just get glowsticks. Stop spreading “recipes” for glowsticks. You can’t make a glowstick at home. All of those recipes are fake. All of them.
